About My Books

For many years now, my stress-relieving/winding down reading of choice has been the many wonderful Pride and Prejudice variations out there. In this time of plague and anxiety, I turned my hand to writing one of my own.

Mistress of Netherfield was published in June 2021.

As a taster, here’s the opening sentence. It may be familiar…

It is a truth universally acknowledged that on escaping an unhappy marriage, a young widow will be delighted to remove to the dower house and lease the marital abode to a single man in possession of a good fortune, provided he looks elsewhere to fulfil his want of a wife.

About Me

In another universe and under a different pen-name, I write Rainbow Award-winning speculative fiction (SF and steampunk, mostly) with LGBT characters.

Once I used to do communications work for the UK government, in a variety of departments that saw me do things as diverse as managing both national TV campaigns and an internal TV service delivered through everyone’s PC.

These days I live a much quieter life deep in the Nottinghamshire countryside with my husband, and Molly and Mavis, the Deputy Editors.
